Laclede Chain Donates Over 60 Tire Chains to Support Veterans & National Guard
FENTON, MO.—Laclede Chain, a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of industrial chain, recently donated 66 sets of tire chains to H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving military members and their families by providing material and financial aid and other assistance and services to all branches of the military, guard, and reserve forces.
Laclede Chain began working with H.E.R.O.E.S. Care in May 2018 when they were contacted by H.E.R.O.E.S. Care volunteer coordinator, Karen Cooksey. Cooksey brought a need for tire chains to Laclede’s attention.
“H.E.R.O.E.S. Care wants to build strong partnerships and give back. They need all the help they can get, and not nearly enough people know about them,” said Laclede Chain company president Tim Riley. “The tire chains were something unique that they needed, so we were happy to help them out.”
The tire chains donated by Laclede served an important purpose. The National Guard used them to outfit their vehicles while providing flood assistance services all across the country through an especially rainy spring and early summer.
“We are looking forward to continuing to work with H.E.R.O.E.S. Care in the future,” said Riley. “Supporting our active duty military, veterans, and their families is a cause that’s important to us at Laclede Chain.”
